Post-doctoral researchers at HP Labs are academically outstanding researchers with a proven interest in applying theoretical insights to business problems. They help define a significant problem, or set of problems, within an established area of research and are able to make a substantial contribution towards solving that problem in a short period of time.

Positions typically receive funding for twelve to eighteen months, offering a window into the full span of industrial research, including the chance to work with HP customers and to see how lab-designed technologies are delivered to, and impact, the world. Many HP Labs post-doctoral researchers are subsequently hired as full-time employees within the HP Labs organization.

We offer a collaborative, informal, and high-paced environment in which to work – one spanning a rich landscape of fields, from high-end servers to small devices, and from highly complex to radically simple services.
